Hearts Academy Of Excellence Music

We are beyond excited to welcome Angela Brownell Smith to our Hearts Academy team!.  Angela will be bringing MUSIC to Hearts Academy for our middle and high school students in 2024/2025. 

 

Having been a part of the Hearts family as a parent for four years, Angela is delighted to join the faculty team. She will offer new electives in music for the 2024-2025 academic year as well as private lessons in piano, guitar, bass guitar, saxophone, flute, and clarinet.

 

If you are interested in music for your student, please follow this link to answer some questions regarding your interest:                    This will help us work towards meeting the needs of our Hearts Academy community. Note that classes will be offered to 7th-12th graders whereas private lessons will be available to all ages. 

 

 

 

You will need to register through Hearts Academy for the music theory classes according to the schedules on this site.

Angela Brownell Smith is a professional fine arts educator who is passionate about helping students discover their God-given, creative gifts and using those gifts for His glory. She completed her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of South Carolina and Master of Music Education and Bachelor of Music degrees at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. She has taught at several colleges/universities including Belmont and Spelman College. Angela has several years of experience teaching middle and high school students in a Christian school setting and has served as Fine Arts Director. She is a composer, and her music has been performed across the United States and internationally.
